It is one of the common names in Mexico, especially in the State of Veracruz, overlooking a tree and its fruit. Its scientific name is Cordia dentata and belongs to the family Boraginaceae. It is known by other names such as the skull, galavera, slimy, distemper, matzu, jiguilote, chachalaco. In Colombia we say caujaro or uvita and biyuyo Panama.
