In Colombia it was the name of a coin that circulated in the nineteenth century. It equals a quarter of a weight or 2 reais (a weight was 8 reais). In Spain it was a measure of volume that was about half a liter, as it was a quarter of a blue (which amounted to just over 2 liters).
