It is one of the common names that referred to the poisonous plant Conium maculatum, which is better known as hemlock. Other common names are: acebuda, acedura, linojo, embude, mastranto, caneja, canerla, canaeja, sarnosa, canafierro, canafleja, canigarro, canafloja, fennel. It belongs to the family Apiaceae.
