In Colombia is a surname of Spanish origin. Most were Sephardic Jews who adopted that name. It is the name of a Canton which belongs to the province of Guanacaste in Costa Rica. It is considered the archaeological Canton of Costa Rica. It is also the face, cheek, cheek muscle.
