Meaning of asertividad

asertividad: It is the quality of knowing their rights, defend them vehemently, respecting the rights of others. It is also the quality of expressing something that is thought or felt, in a way appropriate and understandable, without offending or affect others. It is the halfway point between passivity and aggressiveness, we interact with decision and respect. Form or way of acting balanced, fair and consistent.; ASERTIVIDAD:NEUTRALIDAD, RELIABILITY, SELF-ESTEEM, PERSONALITY.; Assertiveness: Assertiveness is a skill in communication which consists in saying what you think and feel in the right time and in the appropriate form. It is an attitude that is related to empathy and self-esteem.; The word assertiveness does not exist in the Spanish language confused it with actions in social skills, more similar to that Word is assertive meaning assert; affirmation, assertion.; lies somewhere between other two polar behaviors: aggression and passivity ( or not assertiveness ). It is usually defined as a mature communicational behaviour in which the person no attacks nor is subject to the will of others, but expresses his convictions and defends their rights.
