Greek palladion. The Palladium was a wooden statue wrapped in the mystery of mythological legend, representing Palas Athena, the goddess of Athens. Others say that Athena created it in honor of his friend Pallas, daughter of Triton, who killed involuntarily working out in the fight to appear suddenly Zeus. The statue protected Troy until Ulysses and Diomedes stole it. There are many versions about their subsequent fate. The Romans used to say that Aeneas on their flight from Troy was brought to Rome and that it was kept in the Temple of Vesta, near the Tiber River.
