Mercia: United Anglo-Saxon founded by Icel in the 7th century. It included the current counties of Worcester, Leicester, Additionally, Northampton, Bedford, Warwick, Chester and Lincoln. It ceased to exist as a Kingdom at the end of the 10th century.
