Gas composed of bromine, chlorine and fluorine, bromoclorotrifluoroetano, which was used as an anesthetic inhaled by the lungs from 1950 to 1990. It caused a loss of consciousness fast and quiet, is metabolized by the liver. From the 1990s, it was replaced by other anaesthetics volatile as supplements, sevofluorane and desfluorano.
